    Scott Alfassa Marks (Elpasha) | Sunday, August 19, 2001 - 10:42 pm  What exactly are these differences (any example would be great) that existed between the "Babylonian rite" that the Sephardim preserved and the non-Bablyonian rite that the the Ashkenazim embraced. What was the "alternative" that the Ashkenazim adapted that made them different from this "Babylonian" rite? What were the differing principles of halacha?
