Rav Soloveitchik's book "Faith and Destiny" is a fantastic book. It was written in the 1950s in beautiful English, and it deals with various topics including:
Living a passive or active life
A beautiful interpretation of Shir HaShirim, and a contempary application of this interpretation
Highly recommended
